The Vampire Diaries is a TV series loosely based on the original books by L J Smith.  It features Stefan and Damon, two vampire brothers who are trying to lead relatively normal lives, moving on every few years.  They meet Elena who is the double of a girl they knew years back. The story carries on to show Elena getting caught up in Stefan and Damon’s lives after learning what they are.
